Auf Wiedersehen TomKat

My brother Tommy and his wife Katie left today for Munich, Germany for the summer. He is doing an internship with an accounting firm, Deloitte and will come back to the SLC office when the summer ends, fun hu?? Katie has one more semester to finish her RN so she gets to relax over there and do some sight seeing before starting again in the fall. We will miss them but are so exited to hear all the details of their adventures. Love you guys!!

I came in during Will's nap time to find him like this in his crib, too cute....

My mom calls Will sweet william sometimes which I learned is a beautiful flower, pretty hu? We'll have to plant some for him if I ever grow a green thumb

Easter Upchuckarama

We went to Trevor's parents on saturday for some fun filled Easter festivities. We played games, ate candy, had an easter egg hunt, ate candy, found easter baskets, and ate more candy. We just let Will go wild because hey, it's Easter right??? On our 20 minute drive home, what do ya know........Will throws up, EVERYWHERE! Those of you that know him know that he eats massive amounts, like adult portions of things, so needless to say, it was quite the mess.

We learned our lesson in parenting that "just because it's a holiday, don't let your kid eat crap all day" ......at least he was back to his cute self on Sunday for church!

The Words and Deeds of Will and Meg

Aug '12- Will at breakfast "Mom, I have one of those ouchy things in my mouth from too much candy and it hurts SO bad..... I have a YANKER!!" (followed by tears)

Jun '12- After telling Meg no she can't step on Jane, she yelled at me "you're weird AND gross AND stinky mom!"....funny from a 2 year old, not from a teenager, yikes

Jan '12- Meg: "Kiss my ouchy Mom! Now kiss my armpit"

Jan '12- Excerpt from Will's prayer this morning " Bless that all the bad guys will die and that bee's won't make a hive in our house"

Dec '11- Will is Mr. Car Safety. "Mom slow down! You are going way too fast!" "Dad, the light is red, stop!" "Mom, your seat belt is not tight enough, make it tighter!"

Dec '11- We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. As we were about to watch a movie and eat Ben & Jerry's, the kids threw up all over their beds within 15 minutes of each other.... the joys of parenthood!

Dec '11- I asked Meg if she wanted red or white sauce on her pasta (marinara or alfredo) her reply? "Pink sauce"

Oct '11- After coming home from the hospital with Jane, Will really enjoyed pushing on my belly and saying things like "There's still a little bit of Jane in there" and "Feels squishy squishy like cotton candy mom!"

Sept '11- Meg woke up in the morning very anxious to show me her mosquito bite on her arm "What happened?" I asked. "Bite" she answered, "Elphie did it"

July'11- Had a lesson on baptism in nursery. When Trevor picked him up from class, the first thing he said is "Dad, when you get baptized you put your head in the water. I am NOT doing that Dad."...... Trev told him we'll discuss it in 5 years

Feb '11- After hanging out with my 8 month pregnant friend, I asked Will if he could tell she had a baby in her belly, he replied, "She looked big like an elephant"

Feb '11- (Me) "Only eat one mint Will" (Will) "No mom, I need two because I have two ears and they need to grow big and strong"

Feb'11- (After waking up in the morning and going potty) "Oh man! I was freaking out in my bed because the peeps were trying to come out!"

Jan '11- Me, while tickling his belly - "Oh your tummy is so skinny and hungry, you better eat breakfast" Will, while tickling my belly "You better not eat mom, your belly is fat like santa!"

Dec '10- As I hand him his sandwich "Thanks mom, for a job well done"

Dec '10- "Mom, my bum hurts.... I need some cream.... some whipping cream"

Nov'10- I usually let him watch a show when I shower, so every morning now I get "Mom, are you dirty?" "Mom, you're dirty go shower" Thanks bud

Nov '10- Nervous! "I can't wear that shirt, it makes me nervous" "I don't want the green cup, it makes me nervous" "I'm not wearing my coat, it makes me nervous"

Oct '10- During breakfast "Mom, I'm going to put you in the garbage and LOOK at you, he he he"

Sept '10- After filling his diaper, casual says "Mom, I think someone stinks around here" Is it you? " No"

August '10- Has a fascination with garbage and of course, potty words. Tells me "My name is Garbage Poop"......no comment

June '10- (While jumping up and down) "Daddy, we got surprise for you! Daddy, it's a secret! Daddy, for Father's Day! IT"S A SHIRT!!!!!"

May '10- Favorite rendition of the song Popcorn Popping..."I can take an armful and make a treat, a popcorn ball that would smell so STINKY"... followed by a smirk and giggles (is that totally a boy thing or what?!?)

Apr'10- Became a master at the "farmer blow" technique of blowing your nose. If you hold a tissue to his face, nothing happens. If you are out in public, with family or friends, or just playing or reading books, Will randomly blows the contents of his nose all over his face and shirt....classy

Apr'10- He can say Sandwich, Star, Sorry, or Silly. His step stool that he drags around the house however has affectionately become known simply as "ghouls"

Feb '10- "I jumping so good!" as he bounces up and down in the baby's crib.

Feb '10- During lunch at a nice restaurant with a friend, I look next to me in the booth at Will. He has his mouth full of food, pants down, diaper undone, and his little boy parts peering out from under his shirt.

Feb '10- What do you want for dinner Will? "Mmmm... pancakes.......and cheese......and cookies!

Jan '10- While doing Meg's hair Will exclaims "Baby's head choo choo!" Apparently the baby girl mohawk looks like a train to a toddler?
